Brigade Drill Team, Step Squad, & Drumline is a Non-Profit Organization that was established in April
2004, in New Jersey. Our founder needed to provide an activity for her energetic
daughter, so she went back to
her roots and created the
Brigade Drill Team. In 2006, the
Brigade Drill Team was relocated to Washington
State.
Brigade is located in Tacoma, Washington and we allow all youth
ages 4-18 to join.
Our season starts in the
beginning of November and ends
the end of August. Our
members have a very busy schedule and practice no less than 2 days a week. This organization
requires a lot of time & commitment from its members and their family.
Brigade consists of 3 Drill Teams ages 4-18, one Boys Step
team ages 7-18, and our Drumline(s) ages 7+.
MISSION STATEMENT
While striving to develop
individual growth and produce a strong team; our primary
goals include the enrichment of each member in areas of
self-confidence and poise, as well as instilling the importance
of positive sportsmanship towards teammates and others. Helping
them to build communication skills and friendships, burn extra
energy, overcome shyness and fears, while building confidence and teaching them the
importance and value of teamwork.
Through our organization we hope
to see our members utilize the talents they will learn and apply
those talents to help them succeed in life.
